THINGS THAT NO LONGER IMPRESS ME

  1. Name brand of clothing

As long as it is comfortable and fits well I don’t care.

  1. The price of the car

My current car the Honda City is over eight years old and it serves me well , does the work of transportation when I need.

  1. Square footage of home

A smaller home is easier to maintain, I am not impressed with bigger homes.

Our current home that is around 1000 sq ft with a space for my WFH that is sufficient.

  1. Amount of money in the bank account

Nothing wrong with money , it is exchange for Value you bring to the world, it lets you live life on your own terms .

But beyond a point it only matters if you can help others or what good you can do in the community with what you earn.

The lockdowns have demonstrated how little we need to live.

  1. Gadgets we use

I do buy gadgets but as long as they serve my work beyond that I am not interested In buying the latest shiny object that is out there.

  1. Social media likes

People put out pictures of their vacations or food they eat , tell their best stories.

But I know they are only part of the story not the whole story.

I was not always like this , I have changed over time .

I understood that what truly matters is health , family , friends and freedom.

We deeply yearn for ‘Freedom’ to live life on our own terms but we start imitating the culture.

It is not a restricted lifestyle rather it is focusing on what truly matters in life.

I am sure the pandemic has been a wake up call for us to reflect on what is truly important.

Do you agree ?

P.S- ( Need to yet work on the nutrition bit )

ALL CREATION HAPPENS OUT OF ABUNDANCE MINDSET

Look at any creator and you will see an abundance mindset . Creation never happens out of scarcity mindset.

Yet what we learn from our childhood is largely driven by fear and scarcity. Only a few kids in a class rank top in a defined curriculum so we are taught to compete . What is missed is that each child is different, each has a unique gift . We try to box the definition of success , only a few can succeed and most are doomed to live an average life is what we are told and what we also see.

Competition : if the resources are limited or only a few can reach the top then competition is a natural behaviour that is driven into children . We are constantly reminded that only the fittest survive and that it is a dog eat dog world out there. This implies that most have to either fail or live an average life and only a few can succeed. Every magazine puts the pictures of the top 50 most successful people in the field , what happens to the rest ?

Money : As we grow it is then instilled that the one who has the most money is the most successful so we get driven by greed and desire to accumulate more . Our bank balance starts defining who we are . The race moves from scoring high marks in school to who earns the most or has the most.

Yet ask anyone who has a big bank balance and they will tell you beyond a point having more money does not add to life. A bigger house beyond a point does not add to happiness.

Risk : The schooling system teaches us to avoid taking risks as failure is looked down upon . Safety of the crowd is what is hammered in every child.

“Don’t take risk , don’t be different” is a lesson we learn. At each step the majority learns to operate from scarcity, that there is not enough. Our definition of success. Itself pushes us into a scarcity mindset.

While you look at any creator the key quality is abundance mindset. What if you were to turn the game and ask different set of questions.

Q1. If there was no problem with money what would you love to do ?

Q2. What is your unique gift ? what makes you most alive ?

Q3. What is the value you can add to the world?

Q4. Who can benefit from the value you can add ?

Q5. How would you live if there was no limitation to what you could create ?

A creator mindset operates from abundance, is willing to take risks , The future of work is more individuals living their passion. The pandemic has made this even more possible as work from anywhere is now mainstream.

The keyword is ‘Value Exchange’ . There is enough in our world for everyone, we need to drop our definitions of success. Abundance mindset is what we need, knowing that we will be taken care as long as we add Value in our world.

POWER OF INTEGRITY EXPERIMENTS – FUTURE OF WORK AND LIFE

Social Flutur will be the first experiment of creating a new way of working.

  1. Based on collaboration.
  2. Each individual bringing their best selves to work , contributing.
  3. Each individual experiencing collective abundance.
  4. A team based on ‘Trust’.

Do watch and follow this blog where I will keep sharing on a unique experiment on the way we work and live. I call this journey ‘Integrity Experiments’

What is the purpose of life ? Why do we work ? these are two questions that we all ask at some point in our life. There are goals I have chased in life and once I get past them I yet feel a sense of emptiness.

Integrity experiments is a journey to find truths around life and work . It is also an idea to build a new kind of an organisation for the connected age.

I begin with the following assumptions as i have experienced them.

  1. We all want ‘pleasure’ and want to avoid ‘pain’ , yet pain is unavoidable , suffering though is avoidable.
  2. ‘Culture’ is external to us and not our ‘Truth’, we become our ‘Culture’.
  3. We are all born with a unique gift , I call it ‘Our Truth’ our life purpose is to ‘Express our Truth’.
  4. Work is an expression of our ‘Truth’ but mostly it has got clouded with ‘Cultural’ truth.
  5. Our ‘Truth’ is connected to the Universal Truth , we are ‘One.’
  6. When we do not express our ‘Truth’ we ‘hurt’ and this can be felt in our lives in different ways.

Somehow the ‘Culture’ that is outside of us has got us hooked to chase what is not ‘Our Truth’ . What are the signs of not being in our ‘Truth’ ?

  1. We experience there is Scarcity in our world. We chase , we gather , we accumulate and yet feel it is not enough . There is never enough.
  2. We compete , success is seen as being ahead of the rest.
  3. We want to be seen and acknowledged by others , our existence is based on what others think of us.
  4. We move away from our ‘authenticity’ and put on a ‘mask’ that is very heavy.
  5. Work is ‘survival’ to pay the bills.
  6. Our life is about ‘Self’ , greed , accumulating , disconnected with the rest and our world.
  7. Culture creates Us vs Them.
  8. Our ‘Culture’ becomes who we are.

What is ‘Culture’ ?

All that is external to us that influences our behaviour can loosely be defines as culture.

The Integrity Experiments will revolve around ‘Living my Truth’, ‘Our Truth’.

  1. At Work – Building a collaborative organisation , each individual bringing their best self and operating from abundance in collaboration and ‘Trust’.
  2. In relationships – Express ‘My Truth’ in relationships and also be open to many expressions of ‘Truth’.
  3. Planet – See the oneness of all that exists on our planet , be a change to heal the world.
  4. Health – Get closer to the ‘Truth’ about healthy way of living and being. The mind/ body is a medium through which we express in our world.
  5. Spirituality – Connect to the stillness within be open to experiencing beyond the known.

and to begin with the experiment at work we pivot Social Flutur a Brand and Digital Strategy company to a collaborative space for those who wish to express their creative communication self , those that have a calling to build ‘Purpose’ driven organisations and ‘Brands’.

1% , 1 Person

Statistics have a way of deceiving you , they are only numbers.

Behind the numbers is a hidden story. Every day for past many days we see upwards of 3500 people dying in India.

The real numbers maybe higher, no one knows.

We get numb to the numbers , it’s just statistics.

The numbers flash daily on our television screens . The question being asked “have we peaked?”.

It’s a debate with two sides , it’s news.

Unless that number includes one of us , one of our own , near and dear one.

Behind that number is one family that is shattered forever.

One loving father who the children will never see again .

One mother who meant everything to her children and they could not even give her a decent funeral.

One grandmother who died gasping for air in the ICU , alone , afraid , amongst the machines that beeped all around .

Not even a hand to hold , to comfort, in the final journey.

One spouse who has lost their life partner while yet holding hands in the car , helpless , not being able to get that one breath of air.

One son , one daughter who was the world for their parents.

Behind that number is a friend who we spent time with every day sharing our fears of an uncertain future.

Behind the numbers are dreams of many families that are shattered.

The world will move on, we will finally get beyond this .

Maybe less than 1% would have lost their lives in this storm .

The statistics on television screens would be forgotten.

The news would have moved , it always does.

But for that family that lost the only earning member it would be a life of struggle and grief.

For that less than 1% of the population life would have changed for ever even if it was just 1 person lost.

For those who lost even 1 person the next morning will not be the same .

There would be a gap , a hole in the heart that will not get filled , ever.

Yes everything passes and this too shall pass.

Those that are gone would become a part of the statistics.

But beyond the numbers would be many stories, stories of real people .

For us our life will move on from one lockdown to maybe the next.

From one wave to maybe the next.

From one news story to the next.

But some stories would not move they would end.

7 THINGS I LEARNT FROM GROWTH HACKING FOR A CLIENT

Yesterday my very first client I worked with after I got out from the Corporate world as a marketing strategist and coach hit 5x business.

Yes it feels good even as the pressure now mounts to sustain the momentum.

This is what I learnt from the experience

1. Passion – the client is completely passionate about what he does , he is not just there to make profits but is completely committed to making a difference to the customer segment he serves.

Of course profits are essential to provide world class service but the driver is purpose.

The very first questions every brand and business needs to ask whatever the size maybe – “Why do I exist ? – what will happen if I do not exist ?”

2. Trust – He was my first client when I stepped out from the Corporate world as an marketing entrepreneur and coach.

He trusted me and has stayed the trust for the long run.

Yes there were results at every step but he has completely trusted my calls and the way I guide the sales and digital teams both internal and external.

This is most essential, many clients are impatient and keep second guessing or they keep listening to many voices .

This creates confusion and does not help in staying focused.

In any business it is essential that you focus and if you have a coach might as well listen to him.

Sometimes a good coach may tell you unpleasant things but that is the role. Listen !

3. My Belief – I personally believe in what my client does and that he adds value to his clients. I call this #blessed work .

You get paid for doing good work is what I love. It is meaningful work.

If I as a Coach did not have faith in my clients work and potential I could not have helped produce the growth outcomes.

4. Team – it takes a team to produce outcomes. We have a highly passionate and committed team .

In my work with clients as a Strategist and Coach I work with both internal and external teams. Wherever needed I pull in expertise from my network.

Again the client provided me the space to take my decisions.

A orchestra is as good as every performer.

5. Focus – It is essential to focus and not get distracted.

Being consistent needs a lot of patience and hard work.

The client has stayed the course for long term with sharp focus.

In the digital world Focus and Consistency are the most important keywords.

6. Investing to Delivering the Promise – the client understands the importance of a satisfied client, rather he calls them ‘family’ .

He is consistently investing in people , process technology and innovation to help scale and deliver the service promised.

(many in the competition even copy his innovative protocols)

I do believe that word of mouth is the best marketing.

We are seeing a consistent growth in organic traffic that comes through referrals.

7. Investing in marketing- the client has been consistently investing in both performance and brand marketing.

We have consistently used client member storytelling that is authentic and inspiring.

Your work needs to speak and speak loud. And what better than your own clients telling their stories.

Whenever I wanted to initiate innovative marketing campaigns the the client was willing to back me and invest in the calls.

One more important learning I always carry is , “THE REAL FUN IS IN THE JOURNEY, NOT THE DESTINATION.”

A good client helps you discover the best within you

PUT YOUR EXCUSES ON HOLD

The cage is fictional, there is none , we create our imaginary cage .

The day I understood this I experienced freedom.

When you put your excuses on hold the other side is joy.

In school and then college I was always on the stage participating in elocutions and debates.

I loved the stage and the audience in front of me.

When I would be on stage I would be in a zone.

I loved to communicate ideas , enrol and inspire audiences.

I could get those around me find their expression and express more fully.

But then life happened. I put myself on hold.

There were more important things to do.

“I will do it some other day in the future” I said “when the kids are grown up , when I have enough money in the bank , when I am well settled.”

I kept postponing my dreams to the future.

Then I turned 50 and it occurred to me I have finite time.

One day I made a bucket list and I jumped head on.

I wanted to sing , I went ahead and recorded my first song in a studio. It’s there on YouTube.

My first song recorded in studio

I bought myself a professional home studio equipment , now I sing whenever I feel like.

I wanted to cycle . I was warned it is risky and this is not my age .

I went ahead and bought a cycle , I invested in the best I could.

I am now a cyclist, I cycle every day , weekends is for long distance.

When I cycle , it’s just me and the wind on my face , I can feel the freedom.

I wanted to see the stars I went ahead and bought a professional telescope.

That experience of watching the planets was surreal.

Felt the vastness and being one with existence , limitless.

I wanted to write a fiction story book . I did that and self published it . It’s on Amazon .

I got my first royalty check , felt good.

I wanted to teach non profits the art of fundraising with storytelling.

I travelled to five cities and over 500 non profits in India attended my workshops !

I always wanted to start my business.

I kept postponing afraid of the unknown.

I finally jumped in at 55 !

It is profitable and growing.

But more importantly I am doing what I always loved to do , helping individuals , businesses and causes express themselves fully . Live their potential.

I wanted to tell stories of good through films . I had no experience, no team and zero budgets.

One fine day I just decided I will do it . And that too during peak lockdown !

In a few months we have made over 10 short documentary films .

Launched the YouTube channel’Heroes of India’.

We now release two films a month.

I wanted to camp next to a waterfall overnight in heavy rains.

Camping next to a waterfall

I did that , the sound of the water splashing against the rocks and tapping of raindrops was out of the world experience.

From a typical corporate formal life , no fun wardrobe and look , I decided to just be myself.

A small step but one more step in the direction of freedom.

I love being myself

When I stopped my excuses , I truly found my joy.

Have to do it for pay check was an excuse.

Have responsibilities was an excuse.

What will others think was an excuse.

I cannot do it was an excuse.

I am not capable was an excuse.

I will do it sometime in the future was an excuse.

Excuses kept me safe in my comfort zones.

We have reasons , many excuses, why we postpone life.

We make up by trying to live on the weekends.

We trade our joy with a cage.

Sometimes the cage is golden. Yet is after all a cage.

When I look deeply there was no cage , it is all our own creation.

Now I have stopped all excuses , I have started living every day , every moment.

I have no regrets as every step of the journey has been a learning experience.

I refuse to die with my song in my heart.

P.S – Passion project is a message, life is finite , don’t die with your song in your heart

WE LIVE A STORY

We are here for a finite time and one day nothing will matter.

Dreams and worries will be buried , turned to ashes when it all ends.

Just in a moment everything will be over.

Finally it all ends , one day sometime in the future even our planet will vanish into a void.

How can we make sense of anything.

What is the point of it all , all our struggles are meaningless.

We add meaning to this seemingly meaningless existence with our Stories.

We seek to be immortal with our Stories as we fear vanishing into a void.

Religion is a Story that gives meaning to our lives .

Country is a collective Story of the tribe.

We are willing to die for our Stories and we are even ready to kill.

We create villains, the others , fight , create divisions with our Stories.

We live and die for our Stories.

All creation happens with a Story.

We create the Story of life after death as not existing does not make sense.

Leaving a legacy is a Story of our desire to be immortal.

We stretch beyond our physical limitations all because of Stories we tell.

In our Stories we have our heroes and villains .

We admire heroes and despise the villains.

We try to be like our heroes as we admire their stories.

We learn to hate our villains.

We try enrol others into our Stories.

Then there are those who we call our leaders who tell us a Story we all buy into.

We hear their Stories, get inspired and become a part of their tribe.

We are not ok is a Story told by advertising.

We need to get somewhere from here is a Story.

From here to there is a Story.

Success is a Story so is failure.

Self identity is a Story.

Yet finally it all ends and nothing matters .

Life is just a grand Story.

We are the Stories we tell .

If this is so why not tell a Story that inspires.

We have the choice , only humans have this choice to choose their Story.

Why not have fun while the Story lasts.

Why not live a Story that makes waking up every morning exiting.

Why live a Story of fear , survival, limitation.

Why not live a Story of gratitude and love.

Remember finally it is all meaningless .

In a moment it all will just vanish.

Till then let us have hell of a ride and live this life Story fully.

SUDHAKAR RAM , A VISIONARY LEADER LIKE NONE

Today when I went to Starbucks in the morning, I saw that empty table , where I would find Sudhakar most mornings after his morning walk and my cycling.

The habit of Starbucks , coffee and soya latte comes to me from Sudhakar.

Wherever we travelled together he would find a Starbucks and we would have our soya latte , later he switched to almond latte.

We were both Vegans , yet occasionally we had our cheat days . He was fond of sweets though he was a diabetic he would indulge once in a while.

I first met Sudhakar when I joined an IT company Mastek as head of Corporate Communications.

I had to work on the Annual report within days of joining.

As a new chap in the organisation I did have the usual challenges of getting accepted by those who had been around.

And I was being given a difficult time . I went and told this to Sudhakar as the annual report had a deadline. He did what was needed . I forgot about the incident.

Cut to a scene in Goa when the team was having annual family get together ‘Run Time’.

Suddenly Sudhakar called me on stage and announced an award for the most creative Annual report.

This then was Sudhakar, unlike any boss I have worked with . Once he gave you something to do he would Trust you 100% and back you no matter what.

I went on to work with him for the longest time of my career almost twenty years till he passed away recently.

As a leader I learnt from him so much about the word ‘Trust’ , ‘Being Authentic’ , ‘Love’ and also ‘Karma’ .

When Sudhakar was with me he was with me , fully present in the moment . I was the most important person . He did this with everyone.

I don’t remember a single mail or message in these 20 years he would not have responded to , no matter how busy he was or wherever he was in the world.

He had a rare quality of genuine and deep empathy . He would feel for you. He did this for everyone.

When he passed away and I shared the sad news on LinkedIn the post had over fifty thousand views and hundreds of comments .

Each message shared told me how quietly he had touched many lives .

He was very understated and this I later understood was also the brand of Mastek . Not flashy , authentic, more substance than style , caring.

Through my life journey if I could confide in someone and get an unbiased pointer it was Sudhakar .

He would listen deeply , and in his typical way he would not tell you the solutions but rather get you to find the answers.

As I was directly reporting to him , over the years we built a strong bond . This got deepened during his journey of The New Constructs blog and later the book ‘The Connected Age’.

We travelled together across the remote parts of the country meeting some amazing people and leaders who were following a new way of building organisations, communities , education and sustainable farming.

He did this besides wearing the hat of the CEO of the company and travelling the world. He would be out two to three weeks in a month on business trips and yet have the time and energy to work on the blog and travel places for getting insights into the idea of a new world.

This was the other side of Sudhakar he was a visionary leader way ahead of the times . He believed in the idea of small is good for organisations and non profits, that we need a new way of education and more sustainable ways for our planet.

He would take some of the ideas we picked on our five years journey of The New Constructs to implement them at Mastek and he had the guts to do so . Like doing away with the concept of a leader , overnight he flattened the structure and did away with annual appraisals .

The idea of self managed teams with Mastek 4.0 was one of the boldest experiments in the corporate world only someone like Sudhakar could have taken.

His life was never a contradiction, he lived and practiced whatever he believed in .

I could almost read his mind and knew what he would do because I knew he lived by his truth and that was consistent.

There was a term he used for anything that happened “How wonderful” .

He lost his bag and passport at an event in the US and he said “How wonderful” . He enjoyed the experience. Sounded crazy to me at first .

Once during the startup days at Benow we had to go to the police station because someone was threatening as he was not able to use our live platform GivNow Live which was in pilot. Sudhakar said “How wonderful, otherwise we would have never got to see a real police station:)”

But he did that every time . It is said when a man nears death his true self is revealed.

Despite him knowing about his cancer he practiced this belief “How wonderful” , it was shared by Girija that Doctors told her they had not seen a person so graceful in death , completely accepting and having no regrets , none.

I believe here again he would have lived his principle of 100% trust . If he gave you anything to do he would trust you completely. He would have done the same for his doctors.

There was no pretence in Sudhakar he was so completely authentic. From Mastek I moved to join him in his startup as a cofounder.

I once asked him why did he need to get into a stress of a startup at late stage in life , he did not need the money .

His answer was interesting he said “I am a Karma yogi and my dharma is being an entrepreneur , I cannot do anything else”

He stayed true to this through his life and death , till the week before he passed away I am told he was attending an AGM from hospital. He was doing discussions with VCs on the startup with full energy.

When he passed away later many were surprised how he could have that energy and enthusiasm when he was so close to death.

And as I said he had no regrets , he always did what he loved and when he did not he would just drop it and walk away. On this issue he was unemotional and he had mentioned that to me.

Whatever he did he was completely passionate about it , almost like a child , he would like to explore and try the untried , untested .

I have experienced Sudhakar’s love , here was a boss who left a board meeting to be with me in the most difficult event of my life. He did this through his life , always be there when I needed him.

Even during the pandemic while he dealt with his health challenges, he would respond to my messages on advice I needed .

His understanding of Karma was complete . Once I asked him the startup is draining money was he not stressed as I never saw any stress on him . His answer was “it is only money” .

I then understood it was never about money and he was truly not attached to the outcome , not that he did not care about the outcome , he gave it all his best , he would be totally and completely involved and do his dharma as an entrepreneur but not be ‘attached’ to the outcome. I had read this in the Bhagvad Gita , I now saw a leader in the corporate world practice unattached action .

He always did what was right with the values he held . I saw him tell me in the Board meeting not to cut the Mastek Foundation budget even though the year had not been good , I remember the words “doing good is not a tick mark”.

Once we had a conversation with the cofounders on what would we do if we made millions from at our startup venture. Each co founder spoke about their desires , Sudhakar spoke last , he said “I will give away the money to support good causes and non profits.”

This was Sudhakar, I have seen him silently cut checks to support good work. He never refused anyone who came to him for help.

Sudhakar is a rare person, very rare . When one of my colleagues at Mastek passed away and I was broken. He told me “Sanjay, life is living , loving and leaving a legacy behind”.

I see that empty chair at Starbucks every time I go there , I miss him but I feel his presence through the his legacy of ‘living fully’ as per ones dharma and ‘loving fully’ everyone who comes into your life a message he has left behind with me and the thousands he touched.

DROP YOUR AGENDA TO FULFIL YOUR AGENDA!

I have been reflecting on the subject ‘What is the concept of business and why does all commerce exist ?”.

If we look around most of the time of the human race in the world as we see today revolves around the idea of ‘Money’ .

‘Money’ is central to everything, things we can buy , things we can experience, status , power even health services we can access with money.

Either you are a seller or you are a buyer as an individual or as a collective called the organisation.

Employees sell their time and expertise to organisations , organisations sell services , expertise or products to the masses .

Central to every transaction is “Exchange’ and if we dig deeper there is the concept ‘Perceived Value’.

When you dig deeper there you find there is ‘Agenda’ . “Why do we do anything?” . Every human being at any given point has an agenda.

Why do you do a job , why do you run a business, why do your customers buy . There is an agenda .

The agenda is always about ‘Me’ , break it down people are interested in ‘Self’ . No one is interested in the ‘other’ .

This is an interesting contradiction, all the while when any exchange is happening there are two parties and there is an ‘Agenda’ .

Even every noble cause has an Agenda , religion also has an Agenda.

‘Getting’ and Giving’ are two sides of the agenda . And there is fair exchange.

Agenda of Individuals

1. Survive : pay the bills , stay healthy

2. Thrive : fulfil desires

3. Fame : Get recognised and liked

4. Belong : family , friends, community

5. Contribute : Individual talent that is valued in the world , make a difference

6. Spiritual : ( a false belief , those who truly understand would know the falsehood of ego at play ) Going Beyond self

Agenda of Organisations

1. Maximise Profits and returns for stakeholders ethically

2. Consistently Grow in a profitable way

3. Survive through difficult times

4. Solve a problem in the world

How is this useful ?

Whether it is individuals or organisations they have THEIR OWN AGENDAS.

Yet the interesting part is is to fulfil Your own Agenda , you need to fulfil the Agenda of others – whether individuals or organisations!

It is in this space that VALUE Exchange happens. The question individuals and organisations ask is

“What is the Agenda being fulfilled and what the value they get so what is the value they they are willing to pay for”

Naturally low the perceived value , lower the pay.

Perception is not just the quality and quantity of service and product delivered but a more complex equation of how it is seen in the mind . Perceptions are held in the mind . A label can decide the value . It has to do with emotions. The shoes may come from the same factory but add a label and Value jumps . It’s fulfilling an higher agenda of being seen and liked .

Money is nothing but an exchange measure of the perceived Value delivered .

Where things go wrong is when individuals and organisations focus on personal agendas . No one is interested in YOUR AGENDA.

Do you hear these statements

“I want to grow a million subscribers”

“This year we will make a record sale”

“I want to change the world”

No one is interested in your agenda . Full Stop .

The other place things go wrong is when there is safe play . Playing safe you become a commodity. And commodity will be replaced sooner or later with something or someone cheaper .

When organisations become ‘Me To’ and offer commodities the only way to survive is by offering the lowest price.

The way to Thrive with Your Agenda then is

1. Fulfil the agenda of others – solve a problem for clients , customers , employer , donor

2. Be valuable – Don’t follow the crowd , Stand out , be different, be rare , be authentic

HOW I GOT OVER MY FEARS

I had the fear of flying, the fear would begin when I boarded a flight and if there was turbulence I would be in an internal mess .

I have seen panic attacks after I saw a close relative pass away suddenly with a massive heart attack. After the incident, I would land up in ERs at night with breathlessness , I was told that I am experiencing a panic attack . Nothing helped , no advice helped .

Today I love to fly places, turbulence is ok (unless it’s real bad ( : ) . I can walk into a cemetery , talk about death and be ok , panic just vanished never to come back.

How did this change occur?

1. Face the fear : I was running away , I wanted to run away . One day , I stopped, looked at fear in the eyes . Felt the fear in my body . I did not run . I got on the other side of fear and it vanished.

2. What is the worst that can happen ? I asked this question and the answer was “I will die”. And then it struck me “I am going to die anyway one day , everyone is going to die one day , why die NOW ! I will die when I have to , let me live NOW!”

3. In this moment : Being here now , dropping the future helped . I have learnt that in this moment, this moment as I write these words , there is no problem. When I get away from this moment, in the past or the future, stories begin .

4. Accept this deeply : In this moment, now there is no problem and “this moment is inevitable” , it has already occurred. No choice , can’t do a thing . Accept deeply without resistance.

5 . This too shall pass : I am not God , I am not perfect, I do get shaken up by events in life , I do falter , but I get up , I know “This too shall pass” , it does . One day we all will be dead and gone , my parents who are no more would have lived through so many fears , what is the significance now , nothing , it’s all dust .

When you deeply understand this that we are here momentarily on a journey as visitors on this planet , you will understand that this too shall eventually pass , everything will . Yet while on the journey, let us make the best of our time to live , love and leave a legacy behind.
